set the indentation settings with lua instead of a .editorconfig

I don't really get the note ℹ️ ..
I tried the above config , and as noted, the indentation didn't work.
Is it possible to set the indentation settings with lua instead of a .editorconfig file?

I have never used Neovim so I am not sure how it really works, but what I understood from the note was that if you want to define the indentation in the Lua file, you cannot have the indentation defined in your editor's settings, wherever that may be, as it will overwrite your Lua config file.

Makes sence that it will overwrite the editors config ,but in my case there is no .editorconfig file anywhere. But i am looking for a way to assign this configurations in my config and have it work (for the settings i assigned to be used in the formater) .

this feature is the author's requirement to use the indent parameter in lsp

Forgive me but i didn't understand.
So it is not implement in the sumneko LSP?

I mean originally formatter could set the indentation in config, but sumneko thinks that the formatting function on the language server should obey the LSP, so indentation will be overridden by the editor settings. for editors such as vim, it is possible to set editor indentation.

this does cause confusion, you may need to make an issue.
