AKS Learn feedback: Default values and configurability of node pools

Even though it’s a managed service, transparency is important. In particular, the node configuration can have a major impact on both cost and stability. Moreover, although it’s hidden in the portal, when you create an Automatic cluster with IaC tools like Bicep, you apparently must specify the node configuration for the system pool.

For example, as I was working through the next tutorial, I was unsure how to configure the system pool, since I didn’t know the default settings or which values were configurable.

Therefore, I request that the default values and the extent to which users can customize node pool configurations for Automatic clusters be clearly documented. Please also list each configurable setting together with its allowable values and ranges.
