"Elevation Value" an unclear/nonstandard term

I don't understand what "Elevation Value" refers to here. As a web developer, I operate with controls like Blur and Spread radius, and the X and Y location of the shadow relative to the box. Can you share these values, please? Seems in line with the level of detail you've given for rounded corners, for example, elsewhere in this guide.
