ContinuousCallback not handled correctly #1262

Describe the bug 🐞

This week I started to get errors in the SBMLImporter test-suite because ContinuousCallback if provided separately (not in the system) is not triggered correctly.

Expected behavior

Event handling should work as expected.

Minimal Reproducible Example 👇

Error & Stacktrace ⚠️

Even though the condition in mycond function passes from positive to negative, the callback is not triggered.

Additional context

I get the same error on Catalyst v15.0.4, so Catalyst is probably not the root-cause (might be MTK related). This was not causing any problems last Sunday (2025-03-05).
