Metrics stability

Hi, HyperDX seems like an amazing product, but I'm wondering if it is meant just as a "software observability" stack, or if it can also completely replace stuff like Vector for ingestion and VictoriaMetrics for time-series database, if we want to do something like IoT fleet metrics, etc?

Is it more a "debug tool" for software, or can this scale to be an efficient timeseries database? Should I keep my VictoriaMetrics / timescaledb instance?

Great question! We do support metrics via OpenTelemetry so you can certainly use it to replace your traditional metrics stack as well. We don't have PromQL support specifically, but you can still of course building your dashboards using the same UI that you'd use for your logs/traces.
