Windows PowerShell terminal shifted the input into new line with prompt line

Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes

• VS Code Version: 1.99.2 & 1.98
• OS Version: Windows 11

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Don't know how it can happed

Below is the snapshot:

• Terminal is PowerShell 7
• The xterm promptInputModel.value are many spaces, executingCommand is empty.
• Backspace cannot delete back to prompt, but always in current line
• The up/down arrow key can toggle between previous commands
• Enter key can run command without problem

Notice:

• Tested 1.97 it's OK

This issue seems to originate from an upstream component and is not something VSCode can fix by making a change to our code. As such, I will go ahead and close it. Please try to reproduce in Windows Terminal and report to microsoft/terminal with repro steps.
