Convert to inline

I was wondering - is there a tool in the unified / remark ecosystem, that takes multi-block markdown and turns it into a single (inline) block?

This would be useful to render summaries for blog post contents e.g. where I can clamp the text to one line.

So imagine, the original markdown is:

# Heading
paragraph

this would result in:

<h1>Heading</h1>
<p>paragraph</p>

But for me, it would be great if it resulted in something like:

<p>
<span>heading</span>
</br>
<span>paragraph</span>
</p>

Your main goal is to remove all formatting? If so https://github.com/remarkjs/strip-markdown is probably what you're looking for

No, I still want to retain some formatting, mainly all inline formatting like e.g. bold, italic, etc...
