create docker image for modern project

I try to create docker image with base and runner, but it's not working

I copy modern.config.ts, dist, package.json:

FROM node:20 AS base

FROM base AS dependencies
COPY package.json yarn.lock .npmrc ./
RUN yarn install --production --frozen-lockfile --no-progress

FROM node:20 AS runner
COPY public ./public
COPY package.json ./package.json
COPY dist ./dist
COPY modern.config.ts ./modern.config.ts
COPY --from=dependencies /usr/src/web/node_modules ./node_modules
CMD ["npm", "start"]

where am i going wrong?

Why don't you deploy your project by this doc? https://modernjs.dev/en/guides/basic-features/deploy.html, we recommend using the deploy command instead of copying these files.

@yimingjfe So can I use the deploy command when creating my image? I thought this model was for deploying with other methods, without a docker image

npm run deploy is working just fine with Docker images. We use it for all our Modern.js applications inside a Kubernetes-Cluster.
